SAC Symbol can assist you with details about the maximum weight of packaged items.

Appropriate packaging
• Remove any type of liquid or oil from the equipment, avoiding damage to the cargo – in the event of the packaging tipping over – or possible fines generated by transport companies.
• Check the package weight specification and do not exceed this limit.
• Make sure the packaging is not damaged in any way.

Attention! If your load weighs 50 kg or more, it is mandatory that the packaging has a wooden bottom prepared for a pallet truck, regardless of whether the packaging is made of cardboard or wood. This determination is necessary following the standards and rules of the road transport company unions.

General instructions

By following these simple guidelines, your equipment will arrive at its destination without damage, speeding up repairs and minimizing costs.

External boxes must be manufactured from rigid, tear-proof material

Place a cushioning layer on the bottom of the box, such as Styrofoam or foam. This prevents damage during loading and unloading until delivery to Symbol.

Make sure there are no sharp points or protruding edges, avoiding the risk of accidents with transport or Symbol employees.

Items with surfaces that can be marked or easily damaged by normal handling must be properly protected and crated.

Place a label with the sender's and recipient's details on both the cargo and the packaging, as this facilitates identification and prevents the exchange of goods by carriers.

When closing the boxes with tape, place a cord or tape over the seam and two other strips on the sides as reinforcement.

Check according to the sequence below

1. Packaging your product
Include the phone number, email address and the name of the person to contact inside the packaging, so our employees can present the report and repair quote for the equipment more quickly. This procedure is very important!

2. Packaging type
Do not reuse cardboard packaging as it typically loses up to 60% of its strength after opening and closing.

3. Equipment fluids
Remove all fluids from your equipment.

4. Invoice for shipment
Issue a shipping invoice for repair and request collection from a carrier. If you have any questions, contact our consultants, they will be happy to help you.
